GAMEKEEPER

Ever since I was a child I have loved the countryside. My Uncle started a shooting syndicate back in 1972 and over the past few years I have been acting as Gamekeeper. I do the job voluntary and I love every minute.

The photo on the left was taken recently. I'm building a feeding station for our game birds. We have several strategically placed so there is ample food around the entire year. We farm game for meat, which is sold for food in the UK and Europe.

It's a real joy to work out in the countryside and apart from the wild game other wildlife, both flora and fauna, benefit from the work. Working as a Gamekeeper has turned my into a passionate conservationist.
